Children below 7 years old are always asked to stay outside the fence.

While we take every precaution to ensure a positive experience, please be aware of the following:

  • Minor skin irritation, such as clipper burns, nicks, or sensitivities to grooming products, may occasionally occur.
  • Some pets may feel stress in new environments, so we take extra care and understanding when working with them.
  • Pets with pre-existing health conditions, like heart disease, arthritis, or infections, may be more sensitive to grooming.

By entrusting us with your pet’s grooming, you acknowledge and accept these potential risks.

Additional fees

Prices may vary if additional grooming time is required due to a pet’s size, coat condition, or special grooming requirements.

Ensuring a safe and healthy environment

To ensure the health and safety of all pets and staff, if your pet is found to have parasites (such as fleas or lice) or a contagious condition, we will need to stop services immediately. We will contact you right away to arrange for pick-up and discuss the best next steps for treatment. Please note that a $100 fee will be applied to cover the cost of decontaminating the facility.

Safe grooming practices

  • Mats can be difficult to remove. We recommend shaving pets with severe matting. Attempting to remove a heavily matted coat without shaving can increase the risk of nicks, cuts, or abrasions.
  • Anal gland expression is performed externally by our groomers. If your pet continues to show signs of irritation on their rear end, we encourage you to consult with a veterinarian, as this could indicate an underlying condition and require further intervention.

Stress

  • Pets may feel elevated stress in new environments. If your pet shows signs of significant stress, we will pause services and contact you for an early pick-up to ensure their well-being. You will only be charged for the portion of services completed.
  • We will happily reschedule your pet’s appointment to finish any incomplete services. In some cases, we may suggest speaking with your veterinarian about anxiety-reducing options to help make the next visit more comfortable.

Service refusal

At Petfinity, the safety of all pets and staff is our priority. If a pet’s behaviour poses a risk to others in our care, we may need to discontinue services. Should this occur, we will notify you immediately and discuss the next steps.

  • Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the start time of the appointment. Late cancellations, no-shows, and instances where a pet is not permitted to participate in the program due to failing to meet program requirements will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00.
  • Clients are expected to arrive on time for their appointments. Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions. Dogs must be brought in on a secure leash and collar. Retractable leashes are not allowed. If your pet requires a muzzle, please bring one to your appointment. Muzzles are also available for purchase.
  • Clients must check in at the reception upon arrival and wait for a staff member to escort their dog to the rehabilitation area. Please help maintain a calm environment by keeping dogs under control and minimizing loud noises or distractions.
  • Owners may be required to participate in certain sessions to learn techniques for at-home care. If you have any health concerns that may be impacted by the home plan, please let us know.
  • Clients are not allowed in restricted areas of the facility without staff permission. Please clean up after your dogs both inside and outside the facility. Waste disposal bags are provided. Bringing your dog’s favourite toy or blanket for comfort during sessions is encouraged.

Pool area rules:
  • Dogs must be on a leash and wear a collar when entering and leaving the pool area.
  • Dogs must be rinsed off in the designated area before entering the pool to remove dirt and debris.
  • If required, dogs should wear appropriate swimwear or flotation devices provided or approved by Petfinity.
  • No running on the pool deck – be aware that the pool deck is slippery when wet.
  • A qualified staff member must supervise all swimming sessions.
  • Owners are allowed to enter the pool only in waders. You can use our rented waders or bring your own as long as they’re clean and safe to use in a pool.

If rules are not followed, Petfinity staff has the right to end the session without a refund.

  • There is a $50.00 fee if your pet defecates in the pool. If your pet has diarrhea in the pool, requiring the pool to be drained and cleaned, a $500.00 fee will be charged.

  • Children under 12 years old are not permitted in the enclosed dog parks unless designated “Family hours” on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Holidays: 9 AM – 12 PM.
  • You and your guests will have access to the indoor park throughout your booking period. Please adhere to all park rules. All guests must leave the event space and indoor park by the end of your booking time.
  • If booked for dog training, trainers must be Fear Free & CPDT-KA Certified.

A $150.00 cleaning fee will be applied if the room is not left in compliance. • Liquor License: If you plan to serve alcohol at your event, you must obtain explicit written permission from Petfinity management at least two weeks in advance. You are responsible for obtaining a liquor license for the duration of your booking at your own expense. Any guests behaving disrespectfully or causing disturbances will be promptly asked to leave the premises. Failure to comply with this request will result in forfeiture of the damage deposit and event charges, and a ban from making future bookings.
