Petfinity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Retail Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong background in retail & people management. They will be problem solver with strong leadership and communication skills.

Your Mission

Manage day-to-day operations of the pet store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.

Create and maintain guidelines and procedures for the staff you manage.

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked with a variety of pet products.

Assist in creating marketing campaigns to drive sales and increase customer engagement, including participation in local & community events.

Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and local animal welfare organizations.

Keep up with the latest trends and developments in the pet industry by engaging in ongoing education, reading relevant professional literature, cultivating personal connections, attending industry events, staying informed and up-to-date, enhancing your knowledge and skills, and positioning yourself for success in your career with Petfinity.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in retail, preferably in the pet industry.

Experience with POS/inventory software.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of animal behaviour and nutrition.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
