Meet Alla: Petfinity Rufferee

Alla - Petfinity Rufferee

Can you share a bit about your background and how you ended up working here?

My story started in Vietnam; I rescued my dog from a dog meat restaurant. I got a puppy with a lot of behavioural issues and got kicked out of my apartment. After Vietnam I moved to Europe and completed a dog training course. I am certified by the Ukrainian Kennel Union, which is a part of the FCI (the main dog organization in Europe). Next, I moved to Canada. I want to keep following my goals so I am still continuing my education and hands-on experience with dogs. My desire to help my dog is what started my dog training journey. The personal success I had with my dog led to my decision to work with dogs and be a dog trainer. I want to help dogs and their people.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

I think the company culture here is very cool. I enjoy working with the dogs and other animals. And come on! Have you ever seen a cooler place for pets?

What’s something interesting or unique about your role that others might not know?

My other coworkers and I are probably the only Rufferees in the world. I have never met another Rufferee!

Can you tell us about a memorable experience you’ve had while working here?

Everyday is memorable because there are so many pawsbilities here. But our grand opening day was absolutely amazing!

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
